Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran’s position is being inaccurately portrayed by sections of the U.S. media, stressing that the country is not seeking escalation but rather a fair, balanced, and long-term resolution to what it describes as an imposed and unlawful war. He emphasized that Tehran’s stance is rooted in protecting its sovereignty while remaining open to constructive dialogue aimed at achieving lasting peace and regional stability.
He also expressed appreciation for the diplomatic role played by Pakistan, acknowledging its efforts to ease tensions and encourage dialogue. Araghchi clarified that Iran has never declined an invitation to visit Islamabad for talks, rejecting any claims suggesting otherwise. In a gesture reflecting goodwill and strong bilateral ties, he voiced his support for Pakistan, even saying “Pakistan Zindabad,” underscoring the importance Iran places on its relationship with Islamabad and its recognition of Pakistan’s mediation efforts in the region.
