Pakistani Freelancers Earning Over Half a Billion Dollars Annually

Pakistan’s freelance industry is playing an important role in supporting the country’s economy. Every year, freelancers in Pakistan earn over $500 million in foreign exchange by working with clients from all over the world. There are around 2.3 million active freelancers in Pakistan today, and experts believe this number could double if the government provides more help and resources.

Recently, Chairman Prime Minister’s Digital Hub Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan met with PAFLA Chairman Ibrahim Amin to talk about how to help freelancers earn even more. They agreed that better planning and teamwork can bring more money into the country and create jobs for young people.

To support this goal, the government is planning to set up 250 e-Rozgar Centers in different cities across Pakistan. These centers will give young people access to training, tools, and high-speed internet so they can work online and find freelance jobs easily. The plan is to help skilled youth learn new skills, earn good money, and connect with clients from other countries.

This project is part of the larger Digital Youth Hub program, which is being carried out with help from UNICEF. The program’s main aim is to connect young Pakistanis to the global job market through freelancing, education, and small businesses.

By doing this, the government hopes to give more young people a chance to earn a good income without leaving their hometowns. This will not only improve their lives but also bring more money into Pakistan, helping the country’s economy grow stronger and more stable.
