Pakistani Govt Announces New Office Hours for Ramadan 2025

The Pakistani government has introduced revised office hours for the holy month of Ramadan to accommodate employees who are fasting. The new schedule is designed to balance official responsibilities while allowing time for prayers and spiritual observance.

Revised Office Timings
For government offices operating five days a week (Monday to Friday), working hours will be from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. However, on Fridays, offices will close earlier at 12:30 PM.

For offices following a six-day work schedule (Monday to Saturday), the working hours will be from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on regular weekdays, while Fridays will follow the shortened schedule of 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

The decision to adjust working hours aligns with the government’s commitment to facilitating employees during Ramadan. Shorter workdays will allow government staff to manage their fasting, attend prayers, and fulfill their religious duties without compromising their professional responsibilities.

Government’s Appeal to Employees
Authorities have encouraged public sector employees to use this time efficiently and ensure smooth workflow during Ramadan. The government hopes these adjusted hours will help create a balance between work and religious commitments, ensuring productivity while respecting the spiritual significance of the holy month.

These revised office hours will remain in effect throughout Ramadan and return to the regular schedule after Eid-ul-Fitr.
