Wafaq ul Madaris, a Madrassa in Pakistan, has achieved a remarkable feat by producing over 1 million Hafiz e Quran worldwide. Since the initiation of an exam in 1982 by Wafaq ul Madaris, one million students have successfully completed the memorization of the Holy Quran.
In 2019 alone, more than 78,000 students became Hafiz e Quran, including 14,000 female students. The Madrassa enrolls children as young as four years old, and they complete the memorization of the Holy Quran in just two years.Aside from Quran memorization, the students at this Pakistani Madrassa also receive basic education in subjects such as English, Urdu, Mathematics, Pakistan Studies, and Science.
Qari Hafeez Jalandhari, a representative of Wafaq ul Madaris, compared the number of Hafiz e Quran produced annually in Pakistan with that of Saudi Arabia. He noted that while Arabic is not Pakistan’s national language, more children from Pakistan are memorizing the Quran compared to Saudi Arabia. He highlighted that Saudi Arabia produces only five thousand Hafiz e Quran each year.
Furthermore, Qari Hafeez Jalandhari mentioned that the efforts of Wafaq ul Madaris have received recognition from the Saudi government, which has praised the Madrassa and conferred it with an award.
