One of the highlights of the event, which was held on the track of the Dubai Expo City Racing Track on Sunday, was the participation of Pakistani competitors in the Dubai Marathon Race.
Along with Pakistani residents of the emirate, runners from Pakistan’s three largest cities—Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi—participated in the race. Numerous runners from Islamabad descended on Dubai to compete in the event. Pakistan was also represented by athletes from the Wednesday Night Pacers and the Islamabad Running Club.
During the marathon, Amin Muqatay completed the 42-kilometer course in 2 hours and 50 minutes, while Bilal Ihsan from Islamabad finished in 3 hours and 22 minutes.
Along with Shahid Shah, Fahad Qureshi, Rehman Azhar, Yawar Abbas, and Furqan all gave strong performances.
