Pakistani passport holders now have more travel options in Europe and nearby regions without needing a Schengen visa. In 2026, several European and Europe-adjacent countries are offering e-visas or simplified entry, making international travel easier, faster and more affordable for Pakistanis.
European Destinations with E-Visas
While most Schengen countries still require traditional visas, countries like Albania and Moldova provide practical alternatives. Both allow Pakistani travelers to apply for e-visas online, removing the need to visit embassies.
Albania, located in the Balkans, is becoming a popular choice for short trips. It offers historic towns, Mediterranean beaches, scenic mountains, and budget-friendly travel options. Moldova, in Eastern Europe, attracts visitors with its cultural heritage, historic sites, and calm travel experience, along with simple online visa access.
Europe-Adjacent Countries Open to Pakistanis
Several countries on the edge of Europe also offer e-visas to Pakistani nationals. These include Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia. These destinations allow travelers to bypass Schengen visa requirements while still enjoying European-style experiences.
Turkey is known for its rich history, vibrant cities like Istanbul and beautiful Mediterranean coastline. Azerbaijan offers a modern city life in Baku along with cultural landmarks. Georgia’s cities, including Tbilisi and Batumi, combine European architecture, natural beauty and affordable tourism.
Pakistani Passport Ranking
According to the Henley Passport Index 2026, the Pakistani passport ranks joint 98th. It provides access to 31 destinations through visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival, or electronic travel authorization (eTA).
Global Travel Opportunities
Beyond Europe, Pakistani travelers can also visit countries in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and Oceania with easier entry. These include popular destinations such as Maldives, Barbados, Kenya and Seychelles.
Experts say these options open new short-term travel opportunities for Pakistanis, offering safer, quicker, and more cost-effective access to Europe, Eurasia, and other regions worldwide.
