Pakistan’s Benazir Bhutto & Malala Yousafzai Rank Among ‘World’s Most Influential Women’

Pakistan’s former Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto, and human rights activist, Malala Yousafzai have made it to Marie Claire’s list of the ‘most influential women in the world’ featuring 60 inspirational women, who have made a significant impact on the world through their voice and bravery.

The first woman prime minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto took the headship of the Pakistan People’s Party after her father’s government was brought down in a military coup. She advocated for open elections and won just three months after giving birth.

Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate is a global spokesperson for human rights, women’s rights, and education.

Marie Claire’s list featuring women of Pakistan highlights the progress made in Pakistani society and hints towards the need for more inspirational women to come forward and bring the revolution.
