Pakistan’s business community has announced the launch of a special campaign called ‘Support Türkiye’ to show strong solidarity with the Turkish people. This campaign is being led by the Acting President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), who has urged the business sector to increase imports of raw materials and other essential goods from Türkiye right away.
The FPCCI Acting President also encouraged Pakistani businesses to go the extra mile in offering support to Türkiye. He said this was not only a gesture of friendship but also a strategic step to build stronger trade ties between the two brotherly countries. According to him, Türkiye has always stood by Pakistan, especially during times of tension with India, and now it is Pakistan’s turn to return that support in a meaningful way.
At the same time, tensions between India and Türkiye are rising. In India, traders have started an anti-Türkiye campaign, which includes boycotting Turkish apples. Adding to the tensions, the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation recently cancelled the security clearance of a Turkish company named Jalebi Airport Services, citing national security concerns.
This move by Pakistan’s business community is a strong message of friendship and cooperation, showing that the country stands firmly with Türkiye during difficult times.
