Pakistan’s Likely Playing XI for Second T20I Against Ireland

Pakistan is gearing up for the second T20I against Ireland, with plans to tweak their team lineup following a challenging loss in the series opener.

In the previous T20I, Pakistan faced difficulties, particularly in the middle order where certain players struggled. Additionally, all-rounder Shadab Khan’s performance with both bat and ball was below par, impacting Pakistan’s chances.

Shadab failed to make any significant contributions with the bat and was ineffective in the bowling department, failing to pick up any wickets. As a result, Pakistan is contemplating changes for the upcoming match, with one potential alteration being the inclusion of Abrar Ahmed in place of Shadab. Known for his ability to consistently take wickets, Abrar could bolster Pakistan’s bowling attack.

Furthermore, the team composition is expected to feature a blend of seasoned campaigners and emerging talent. Babar Azam will lead the team and open the batting alongside Saim Ayub. Mohammad Rizwan is slated to occupy the number three spot to provide stability to the batting lineup.

Fakhar Zaman and Iftikhar Ahmed are poised to strengthen the middle order, while Azam Khan will take on the wicketkeeping duties. Imad Wasim will utilize his all-round skills, while in the bowling department, Shaheen Afridi will spearhead the pace attack, supported by Naseem Shah and Mohammad Amir. Imad and Abrar Ahmed are slated to handle the spin responsibilities to complete the lineup.

With the second T20I holding significant importance for Pakistan to level the series, the team is determined to put up a better performance and bounce back strongly.
