Pakistan’s young squash star, Mahnoor Ali from Peshawar, has added another remarkable achievement to her career by winning her 22nd international gold medal. She secured the top position at the US Southeast Junior Gold Squash Circuit 2025, held in Baltimore, Maryland.
The final match was especially exciting as it turned into an all-Pakistani contest between Mahnoor and her younger sister, Sehrish Ali. Both sisters displayed outstanding skill and determination, making it a memorable family showdown at the Leutkemeyer Athletic Center.
The match began with Mahnoor taking the first game 11-7, but Sehrish fought back strongly and leveled the score by winning the second game 11-9. With the contest evenly balanced, Mahnoor showed her experience and resilience, bouncing back to dominate the next two games 11-6 and 11-7. With this performance, she claimed the title and proved once again why she is considered one of Pakistan’s brightest sports talents.
Although Sehrish had to settle for silver, her performance was equally impressive. She played with courage and nearly came close to winning what could have been her 19th international gold medal. Her strong showing reflects the growing talent and potential of Pakistan’s new generation of squash players.
The victory not only adds to Mahnoor’s growing list of international titles but also highlights Pakistan’s long and proud tradition in squash. With both Mahnoor and Sehrish continuing to rise on the global stage, hopes are high that Pakistan may once again dominate the sport in the years to come.
