During the first day of the 2023 Tent Pegging World Cup in George, South Africa, Pakistan’s Nasir Abbas achieved something great. He won a bronze medal in the individual lance category.
Abbas showed amazing skills and became one of the best performers for Pakistan. As a team, Pakistan was in 5th place on the leaderboard after the first day of the championship.
The first day of the competition had seven different rounds in the lance category. These rounds included two runs for individuals, two runs for pairs, and three runs for teams.
Nasir Abbas, who represented Pakistan, was recognized as the 3rd best participant of the day. He got this recognition because he did really well on the first day of the event. Because of his great performance, he won the bronze medal. The players from Saudi Arabia named Abdul Wahab and Rashid Al Marri got the 1st and 2nd place in the lance competition.
During all seven rounds of the competition, Abbas showed amazing skill by hitting, picking up, and carrying the peg with great accuracy. He got the highest possible points of 42 without missing any in all the rounds.
