Pakistan’s O and A Level students will now be able to view their answer scripts online

For the very first time, O and A Level students in Pakistan will be able to see their exam answer scripts online, thanks to a new step introduced by Cambridge International Examinations.

The initiative has been launched to ensure greater transparency in the examination process and to give students more control over how their papers are reviewed.

According to Cambridge officials, students will not have to pay any fees to access their answer scripts. Once viewed if they feel their papers need further checking, they can request scrutiny through their schools. This process has been made available across all Cambridge-affiliated schools in the country.

Uzma Yousuf, Country Manager for Cambridge International in Pakistan announced the initiative during her visit to Karachi. She was joined by Arsalan Rabbani, Cambridge’s Marketing Communication Manager. Yousuf explained that schools in Pakistan now have access to exam copies of their enrolled students, which can be shared with them on request.

This move sets Cambridge apart from Pakistan’s local educational boards where students are not allowed to see their answer sheets at the matric or intermediate levels. Cambridge believes the policy will empower students by making the evaluation process more transparent and fair.

Currently, Pakistan has the highest number of Cambridge students in the world, with around 130,000 enrolled at O and A Level.

With over 800 schools affiliated with the board, Cambridge continues to play a key role in the country’s education sector. Officials also confirmed that discussions are underway with Sindh’s Education Ministry to further expand collaboration, starting with teacher training programs.
