Pakistan’s Pharmaceutical Exports Increase 31% to $105.9 Million in 3 Months

Pakistan’s pharmaceutical exports have seen impressive growth, with a 31.11% increase in the first quarter of the 2024-25 financial year compared to the same period in 2023. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), pharmaceutical exports reached a total of $105.936 million from July to September 2024. This marks a significant rise from $80.796 million during the same months in 2023.

In September 2024 alone, the sector experienced an outstanding 61.55% year-on-year increase, with exports reaching $43.607 million, up from $26.992 million in September 2023. This was also a 53.78% rise compared to August 2024, when exports were $28.357 million.

This remarkable growth highlights the expanding strength and global competitiveness of Pakistan’s pharmaceutical industry. The increase in exports not only reflects the industry’s capabilities but also shows the growing demand for pharmaceutical products made in Pakistan.
