Pakistan’s Rice Exports 17.21% in Ten Months Reached $2.051 Billion

There is a rise in the exports of rice in the country, by 17.21 percent in the initial ten months of this financial year, contrasted to the similar time last year.

Starting from July to April 2021-22, 4,044,269 metric tonnes of rice costing $2.051 billion were being exported, in contrast to 3.190,559 metric tonnes which cost $1.750 billion at the corresponding time last year. As per the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics data.

In this time period, basmati rice exports from the country have been boosted by 22.12 percent and other rice exports were raised by 15.44 percent in the corresponding period, having 532,407 metric tonnes of basmati rice costing 574.220 million exported relative to 508,691 metric tonnes for $470.195 million.

$1.477 billion was being made in the latest ten months of this financial year by exporting about 3,411,862 metric tonnes of rice , different than basmati rice,  relative to $1.279 billion in the corresponding time in the previous year.

Rice exports from the country will be raised to 36.94 percent per month in April 2022, 

which goes up to 461.513 metric tonnes costing $511.806 million, increasing from 307,546 metric tonnes to $189.616 million the prior month.

The categorization of food  imports into the country dropped by 12.61 percent in April 2022, to $697.866 million, in comparison with 

$777.958 million in the past month.

Many of the food products costing $7.747 billion were imported in the previous ten months of this fiscal year, in comparison with $6.899 billion in the corresponding period last year.

 Importing of food categories into the country boosts up to barely 12.30 percent from July to April in 2021-22, relating to the corresponding period in the prior year.
