Pakistani Scrabble player Sohaib Sanaullah has made the nation proud by winning the B Division of the Lake George Scrabble Tournament held in New York, USA. This impressive achievement is a testament to his skill and dedication to the game.

At just 22 years old, Sohaib delivered an exceptional performance throughout the tournament, winning 14 out of 15 games to clinch the championship title. After taking a four-year break from competitive Scrabble to focus on his education, Sohaib made a strong comeback, proving he has not lost his touch in the game. His ability to dominate the tournament was evident as he consistently outperformed his opponents.

In addition to winning the B Division title, Sohaib earned accolades for his remarkable scoring abilities. He received the award for the highest single move of the tournament, achieving an impressive score of 163 points. Furthermore, he set a record for the highest single-game score, amassing an incredible total of 646 points. These achievements highlight his prowess and strategic thinking in the game of Scrabble.

The tournament featured a strong field of competitors, with Neil Gaine finishing in second place and Justin Morris taking third. Sohaib’s brother, Daniyal Sanaullah, also showcased his talent by finishing in fourth place, further demonstrating the family’s strong presence in the competitive Scrabble scene.

With 174 participants competing in various divisions, the Lake George Scrabble Tournament is known for its competitive atmosphere and international recognition.
