Pakistan’s Tennis Player Talha Waheed Sets Guinness World Record with 59 Serves in a Minute

Pakistani senior tennis player Talha Waheed has made history by setting a new Guinness World Record for the most accurate tennis serves in one minute.

He successfully completed 59 accurate serves, breaking the previous record of 42, which had remained unbeaten since 2019. This remarkable achievement highlights his skill, focus, and dedication to the sport.

The record was achieved on November 8, 2024, in Lahore under official conditions required by Guinness World Records.

After a detailed verification process, the achievement was formally recognised at a special ceremony held in London. The recognition placed Talha Waheed among the world’s top record holders and brought positive attention to Pakistani tennis on an international level.

Talha Waheed expressed gratitude to his coach, mentors, and sponsors, acknowledging their constant support throughout his journey.

He shared that this record is only one step forward and that he plans to pursue more world records in the future. His goal is not only personal success but also to inspire young athletes and strengthen Pakistan’s sports culture.

Pakistan Tennis Federation President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi praised Talha’s hard work and commitment, calling the achievement a proud moment for the country.

Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, Dr Mohammad Faisal, also appreciated the effort, stating that such accomplishments help improve Pakistan’s global sporting image.
