KE and HBL joined hands on a new initiative that took place on 24th March. The idea is to convert more people to pay bills online using HBL Konnect app with the incentive of getting cashback on their bill payments. This campaign will continue till June 2022.
The process is simple and convenient; the user has to register on the HBL Konnect app using their valid mobile and CNIC number. If the users pay 4 consecutive bills, they will be rewarded with a cashback of Rs. 800, however, users only become eligible for a cashback after two consecutive bill payments. This is followed by an SMS confirmation on the registered mobile phone. This is a pretty smart incentive-based campaign to convert people from paper to e-billing payment methods.
The use of online payments has seen a 73% rise since the pandemic, as more people are switching to online banking and e-commerce to conduct transactions. As a result of these metrics, KE partnered up with NIFT ePay to integrate digitized payment facilities on its website. Online bill payments are also available through KE’s self-service WhatsApp portal and the KE Live App.
