PC hardware company Corsair is facing criticism after it reportedly canceled a confirmed order for a prebuilt gaming PC and then relisted the same system at a much higher price.
The issue came to light after a user shared his experience on Reddit, where the post quickly gained attention and sparked debate among tech enthusiasts.
According to the user, he had successfully ordered a Corsair Vengeance a5100 system priced at Rs. 981,400. However, his order was later canceled by Corsair without a clear explanation.
Shortly after the cancellation, the same PC appeared back on Corsair’s website, but with a new price of Rs. 1,205,935. This means the price increased by Rs. 224,535, which upset many potential buyers.
The prebuilt system in question is a high-end machine. It includes an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D processor, an NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics card, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 2TB solid-state drive (SSD).
Some users suggested that rising prices of DDR5 memory and other components could be one reason for the sudden price hike. Still, many people felt canceling a confirmed order and relisting it at a higher price was unfair.
The situation led to widespread criticism online, with users questioning Corsair’s pricing and order practices. In response, Corsair replied on Reddit, asking the customer to share his order details so the company could review the case.
As of now, it is unclear whether Corsair will reverse the cancellation or offer a solution, leaving customers waiting for a clear outcome.
