PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Announces Rs. 1 Million Reward for Hockey Team

Chairman of PCB, Mohsin Naqvi, has announced a cash prize of Rs 1 million for each player of the national hockey team after their successful qualification for the Pro Hockey League.

The announcement was made during his meeting with the team’s captain, Imad Shakeel Butt. Naqvi praised the players for their hard work and said that qualifying for the league was a proud moment not only for the team but for the entire nation. He added that this achievement had brought new hope for the revival of hockey in Pakistan.

During the meeting, both sides discussed several important matters, including player welfare, rehabilitation facilities, fitness issues, and visa arrangements for upcoming events. Naqvi promised that the PCB would provide complete support to strengthen Pakistan hockey.

He further assured that the PCB’s medical team would look after the fitness needs of the players and make sure they received proper treatment and rehabilitation whenever required. According to him, improving player health and welfare was just as important as winning matches.

Naqvi emphasized that the hockey team’s qualification should be seen as a turning point for the sport in the country. He said that Pakistan’s history in hockey is full of glory and achievements, and now it is time to rebuild that image on the international stage.

The cash reward, he explained, was not just recognition of the players’ efforts but also a motivation for them to continue performing at their best.
