PCB Will Run Multan Sultans in PSL 11

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that it will temporarily take over the management of the Multan Sultans franchise for PSL Season 11. The board will run all team operations as an interim arrangement until the franchise is sold to new owners through an auction after the season ends.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that the board will handle every aspect of the franchise, including administration, team management, and operations. He also shared that a new head of Multan Sultans will be appointed within the next ten days to ensure smooth functioning of the team during the season.

The start date for PSL 11 is expected to be March 23, although the final schedule will be confirmed after approval from all franchises. Preparations for the season are currently underway.

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has been named the brand ambassador of the Pakistan Super League and will also serve as the auctioneer, adding further excitement and credibility to the league.

There is also speculation that Ali Tareen, the former owner of Multan Sultans, may take part in the bidding process when a new franchise is auctioned. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Mohammad Rizwan’s role as team captain could be reviewed during this transition period, although no final decision has been announced.
