An Indian journalist has claimed that recent missile strikes by Iran caused serious damage in Israel, raising concerns about civilian safety during the ongoing conflict in the region.
Brijmohan Singh said the attacks led to destruction in several areas and that even deep underground bunkers were not completely safe during the strikes.
According to his account, some bunkers located nearly 100 feet underground were also affected during the attacks, which increased fears among residents seeking shelter.
Singh was in Israel to cover the visit of Narendra Modi when the reported strikes took place. He said the situation on the ground was tense, with many people moving quickly to shelters after warnings of incoming missiles.
The journalist also claimed that media restrictions were strict during the incidents. He said reporters were not allowed to film injured people or visit hospitals to record the situation. According to him, these restrictions made it difficult for journalists to fully report the scale of damage and casualties.
Singh further questioned the effectiveness of Israel’s missile warning system. He stated that in some cases, explosions were heard without sirens being activated beforehand, which could put civilians at greater risk.
So far, the Government of Israel has not officially responded to these claims. Analysts say that during conflicts, information from different sources should be carefully verified before concluding events on the ground.
