Peshawar Corps claimed the top position in the 50th Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Polo & Tent Pegging Championship 2025, held at the Jinnah Polo Fields in Lahore.
The event brought together elite teams from across the country, highlighting the Pakistan Army’s long-standing tradition of sportsmanship, discipline, and excellence.
The closing ceremony was attended by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS & CDF, who served as the Chief Guest. The ceremony also saw the presence of the Minister of Interior, the Chief Secretary of Punjab, and a large crowd of enthusiastic spectators.
Field Marshal Munir was warmly received by the Corps Commander Lahore and the Chairman of the Pakistan Polo Federation before he officially concluded the championship by distributing prizes to the winners and participants.
Eight teams competed in the championship, demonstrating skill, precision, and teamwork in both polo and tent pegging events. The competition was intense, with each team giving their best performance on the field.
Gujranwala Corps secured the runner-up position after a series of closely contested matches, making the final rounds particularly exciting for fans and participants alike.
Organizers highlighted that the COAS Polo & Tent Pegging Championship is not just a sporting event but also a celebration of the values the Pakistan Army promotes—teamwork, resilience, and dedication.
