The planned song for the PSL final has sparked controversy before of its release, when the University of Peshawar was purportedly shuttered to accommodate the shoot featuring singer Gul Panra.
The university announced a holiday on Valentine’s Day (February 14) for an odd reason, but it was later revealed that Panra was given permission to record songs at the university’s main academic blocks on that day.
She would not have been able to record the songs if the university had been open, according to an academician.
Numan Khan, a university representative, denied rumours that the university had been closed to allow for the recordings.
After the institution issued a holiday notice, PSL organisers filed a request for the recordings, he claimed.
After gaining clearance from the city’s deputy commissioner, he added, the squad was authorised.
