All Pakistan Petrol Pump Dealers Association called a nationwide strike for November 25 in protest of the government’s refusal to raise dealer margins to 6%.
There will be no talks until our demand is met, according to an APPPDA official, who added that this time there will be no leniency until their commission margin is increased. The gas stations of Gilgit Baltistan, who have also declared a strike across GB and Kashmir pumps on the same day, will join them.
The petrol pump dealers association had planned to strike on November 5 in response to the central organization’s call for a commission hike, but the strike was called off after negotiations with the government.
