Stunning images capture a volcano mid-eruption as ash clouds spew towards the Milky Way above it.
Dutch photographer Albert Dros camped under the stars to capture the breathtaking scenes at Fuego Volcano in Guatemala.
The photos show fiery lava gushing from the volcano, one of Central America’s most active, against the backdrop of the Milky Way.
Albert expressed being “paralyzed with awe” as his carefully planned trip yielded incredible results.
He mentioned that erupting lava is best visible in the evening and night, guiding his decision for the timing of the shots.
