PIA Announces Huge Reduction in International Flights Tickets

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced a significant decrease in airfares for Umrah pilgrims, according to ARY News.

From April 7 to 11, the national flag carrier will lower airfares by 30 percent for passengers traveling to Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Dammam. Umrah pilgrims will also enjoy a reduction of up to 20 percent in fares.

Economy class fares have been slashed to Rs 50,000. PIA recently cleared all its liabilities, debts, and arrears. The airline’s financial losses and debts were settled and transferred to a holding company before privatization.

This move has attracted significant interest from investors in the aviation sector. PIA operates 170 weekly flight routes across 20 countries, with 150,000 passengers traveling to Saudi Arabia via PIA, officials revealed.
