PIA plane leaves for Poland to evacuate Stranded Pakistanis

In a tweet, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) reported that a chartered plane has left for Poland to repatriate Pakistanis stranded in Warsaw owing to the Ukraine-Russia crisis.

“PIA has deployed a special repatriation flight to Warsaw, Poland in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-Government of Pakistan to bring back stranded compatriots from war-torn Ukraine,” the airline tweeted after the plane left Pakistan.

The stranded Pakistanis would be flown back to Islamabad today on PK7788, according to PIA.

The plane is scheduled to arrive in Warsaw at 10 a.m. local time, bringing home around 300 Pakistanis who were displaced by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
