According to the official sources, Pakistan International Airlines has recently decided to stop serving mineral water bottles to its domestic flight passengers during the flight. The notification regarding the matter is shared by the Manager Flight Services of PIA; however, it has been unveiled that the half-litre of mineral water bottle will not be served to any of the passenger on the local national domestic flights.
It had been highlighted previously in March where CAA- Civil Aviation Authority decided to impose a ban on serving the water to the domestic flight passengers in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
PIA officials announce that the flight crew would provide water to the passengers only on demand and that will also be served in a glass. As per the notification, the implementation report of this new initiative will also be shared by the flight crew via the log book.
Moreover, the reports stated that the disposable water bottles will already be attached along with each seat before the boarding starts. The use of disposable water bottle is just to ensure the safety of each passenger, as per the DG CAA.
