‘Please Allow Imran Khan’s Two Sons to See their Father’, Jemima Makes ‘Direct Appeal’ to PM Shehbaz

Jemima Goldsmith, the former wife of Imran Khan, has made a direct appeal to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to allow her two sons to see their father in Pakistan.

She wrote a message on social media saying she is worried about her sons and about Imran Khan’s health, and that the boys should be allowed to travel and meet him soon.

Her sons, Sulaiman Khan and Kasim Khan, live in London and applied for Pakistani visas in January, but more than 60 days have passed with no approval.

Jemima said the Pakistan consulate normally takes about 7 to 10 working days to process such visas, yet no decision has come.

Imran Khan, the former prime minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek‑e‑Insaf (PTI), has been held in Adiala jail in Rawalpindi since 2023. He has faced several legal cases and is serving sentences for corruption and other matters. In her message, Jemima said her sons have not seen their father in person for many years.

She also said the boys have not been allowed to talk to him by phone or by letter in recent times, and that their last in‑person visit was years ago. Jemima appealed to the prime minister to speed up the visa process, allow the children to see their father, and help the family reunite.

Her message has drawn attention to the issue of visa delays and family access for jailed political figures.
