In Islamabad, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced the introduction of the Rehmatul-Lil Alameen scholarship program for intermediate and undergraduate students.
The Prime Minister said on the occasion that the scholarship would be open to all Pakistanis, including non-Muslims.
The Prime Minister stated that the federal government would provide seventy thousand scholarships per year for a total of five billion rupees. He mentioned that under the scholarship scheme, a total of 350 000 scholarships would be offered over the course of five years at a cost of Rs. 28 billion.
The provincial governments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also offer scholarships to the students, according to the Prime Minister. Imran Khan reaffirmed his dedication to building Pakistan into a great nation based on the values of the State of Madina’s rule of law and focus on education.
He said that without education, no country will advance. He further said that the current government is concentrating its efforts in the education sector in order for our youth to benefit from Hazrat Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Salam Khatim-un-Nabiyeen.
