PM Shahbaz Sharif Announces No Free Fuel to Cabinet Members

As the current government of PML-N has faced severe backlash for the skyrocketing fuel prices, a decision has been declared by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Hamza Shehbaz, for the abolishment of fuel allowances provided to the members of the Provincial Cabinet.

Hamza has sought the detailed expenditure of fuel from all provincial departments.

Hamza Shehbaz has presided over a meeting in which it was declared that the members of the Provincial Cabinet as well as the Chief Minister would be bearing the expenses of fuel on their own in order to carry out their official obligations.

These decisions have been taken keeping in mind the current savings of the government, the supply of fertilisers and the prices of commodities.

Although the participants have opposed the proposed plan for sugar exports,   Hamza Shahbaz stated that the people of Pakistan would be given relief by the government in every possible way.

The decision to crackdown against the fertiliser and sugar mafia and those who hoard essential commodities will also be taken on an intensive scale.

The meeting was attended by provincial ministers, which included Salman Rafique, Sardar Awais Laghari, Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, Atta Ullah Tarar, Mujtaba Sjujaur Rehman, Zeeshan Rafique, and numerous senior officials.

The district commissioner and WASA officials were also earlier summoned by the Chief Minister over the public concern about scarcity of water supply and the CM also pointed out possible flaws in their plan of action.

Displeasure was shown towards the Managing Director of WASA regarding the operating of tube wells.
