An exemption for fuel adjustment charges has been announced by the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he declared that exemption of fuel adjustment is eligible on the consumers who utilized under 300 units which has been charged against August’s bill.
However, as per previous announcement, government provided relief to the consumers utilized under 200 units of electricity. PM now expanded the relief with 100 more units, saying 100 units would make difference in such an inflationary times.
PM addressed in a seminar in Islamabad said that such exemption would cover 75% of the power consumer all across the Pakistan. Further, requested Finance Minister to exempt electricity bills for flood victims.
