Recently, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered the power distribution companies to reverse the electricity bills of Upto 200 units within 24 hrs, adjusting the relief under FAC (fuel adjustment charge (FAC) according to government announcement.
The meeting was conducted to discuss the issues faced by the electricity consumers and constituted a committee on the issue.
He stated that the staff of the distribution firms should work all day and night in order to revive the electricity bills.
Furthermore, PM ordered the concerned authorities to call off the leaves of all the staff and present him a compliance report on urgent basis. Moreover, make sure to execute the relief measures as per government announcement.
In an addition, he stated that banks are also instructed to remain open in the upcoming days in order to let the consumers to pay their revised electricity bills.
