Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to deliver a speech at the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on September 27.
His speech will emphasize Pakistan’s strong support for working together with other countries through multilateralism and will highlight the important role the UN plays in promoting peace, security, and development across the world.
Before departing for New York, the Prime Minister shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming week, which will be filled with important meetings and discussions aimed at addressing global challenges. He expressed his intention to speak on key issues like climate change and advocate for Pakistan’s position on the international stage.
During his address to the UNGA, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to raise some of Pakistan’s long-standing concerns, including the unresolved conflicts in Palestine and Jammu & Kashmir.
He will also push for reforms in global economic systems to ensure fairer and more equitable relations between nations. Additionally, the Prime Minister plans to call for stronger action on climate change, which has severely impacted Pakistan, and to address the growing issue of Islamophobia around the world.
