Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has initiated a campaign to inspect car tax defaulters. The on-road campaign commenced today, 5th June 2023 across the Sindh and will last till 16th June.
A team of experts from the Sindh Excise and Taxation Department will scrutinize every vehicle at different sites in Karachi. More than 30 places have been assigned to the team to crack down on car tax defaulters.
In addition, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Sindh Minister for Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics has put forward the request to all vehicle owners to immediately pay their taxes to avoid any inconvenience during their journeys. The minister also instructed citizens to pay taxes through online tax depositing portal, advising them to take advantage of the technology.
Karachiites who have not yet paid their vehicle taxes might stay alert on the road, for they can be stopped anywhere.
