According to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, short, medium, along with the long-term policy like timelines for promotion of the IT- information technology sector must be finalized.

This was stated by the Imran Khan while speaking in a meeting that was held for promoting the IT sector in Pakistan. However, he also stated that finalizing this plan as well as developing a timetable for it was critical on immediate basis for its implementation.

According to the Prime Minister, the Information Technology business has an ability to even generate about $5 billion for the foreign exchange; however, it is currently operating at a fraction of the potential that is due to the lack of proper infrastructure and strategy.

He is also in favor to support the freelancers as according to him, a high potential among the freelancers of Pakistan is observed that is also promoting the economy of the country.
