Prime Minister of Pakistan has recently said that the country had made a new record for remittances that is above $2 billion for the 10 consecutive months; however, this acknowledged the contribution of the overseas Pakistanis.
The PM also mentioned that remittances from the overseas Pakistanis were about $2.8 billion in the month of May.
He further said that to the date in this current fiscal year, the remittances were increased by 24% as compared to the remittances of last year.
He also tweeted that “This is a record for Pakistan and I thank our overseas Pakistanis.”
