The District Education Authority (DEA) Lahore has taken action against several private schools for breaking the official winter vacation rules. These schools were found open during the holidays, even though they were clearly instructed to remain closed.
Among the schools that were sealed are Oxford Grammar School in Shahdara, Tehzeeb-ul-Islam School located on Bedian Road, and Umm-ul-Huda School in the Sabzazar area. The authorities closed these institutions after confirming that they had reopened during the winter break in violation of government orders.
DEA officials have issued strict warnings to all private school administrations, making it clear that there will be zero tolerance for ignoring the winter vacation schedule. They emphasized that inspections are continuing across Lahore, and any school found operating during the holiday period will be sealed immediately without prior notice.
The education authority has once again reminded all schools that they must strictly follow the government-approved academic calendar. Schools are only allowed to reopen according to the official schedule announced by the authorities.
