Shahnawaz Dahani, a pace bowler for Multan Sultans, has been declared out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8, and Muhammad Ilyas has been brought in to fill his spot.
Due to a fracture in his index finger, Dahani was disqualified. The teenage bowler was struck on the finger during their game against the Lahore Qalandars.
The 24-year-old bowler has played in 41 T20 matches for Multan and is a regular member of the squad. During his career, he has taken 55 wickets.
Sources said that West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite may replace the pacer for the Sultans, but the team has chosen to play Ilyas instead.
Multan Sultans, last year’s runners-up, began their campaign on February 13 against the Lahore Qalandars. Mohammad Rizwan’s Sultans had fallen short by just one run in the inaugural game of the tournament in Multan.
