The 10th season of the HBL Pakistan Super League begins today at Pindi Stadium with an exciting opening match between defending champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars.
Islamabad United, led by captain Shadab Khan, comes into the tournament with a stronger squad this year. They’ve added players like Ben Dwarshuis and Darcy Short to boost their performance. On the other side, Lahore Qalandars, captained by Shaheen Afridi, are aiming to make a strong start and secure their first win of the season.
To strengthen their middle order, Lahore has brought in Daryl Mitchell, hoping his experience will bring more stability to the team.
A grand opening ceremony will mark the beginning of this milestone season, as matches will be played across four major cities—Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi. Fans can expect exciting matches, close finishes, and top-level cricket entertainment all the way until May 18.
