PTCL Restores Internet Services in Pakistan After Hours of Disruption

Internet services all over Pakistan have now been fully restored after a major disruption that lasted for several hours. According to Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), the problem was mainly caused by heavy rains that damaged parts of the network.

The outage began on Monday evening and spread across the country, affecting millions of people in big cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar. During this time, users faced serious difficulties in browsing the internet and making online calls. Many businesses, offices, and individuals who depend on digital platforms for their daily work also struggled to stay connected.

The issue was serious enough to cause delays in work, communication gaps, and interruptions in remote services. Many people also expressed frustration on social media as they were unable to access essential online tools.

IT and Telecom Minister Shaza Fatima confirmed that officials are looking into the root cause of the disruption. She added that the government and telecom companies are working together to make sure such large-scale outages do not happen again in the future.
