Punjab has achieved a major milestone by conducting its first-ever AI-enabled and machine-marked Grade 8 assessment for nearly one million students across the province. The large-scale evaluation represents a significant shift toward digital transformation in the education sector, introducing advanced automated systems designed to improve accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in the examination process.
According to reports, the initiative integrates artificial intelligence-based marking tools to evaluate student performance more consistently while reducing manual workload and human error. Education authorities have described the development as a landmark step in modernizing public assessment systems, aiming to ensure fair grading standards and faster result processing for a vast student population.
