The Punjab government has announced a new initiative to support IT graduates through a structured internship program. The Chief Minister IT Internship Program aims to provide young professionals with practical experience while offering a monthly scholarship of Rs. 50,000 during the five-month program.
A government spokesperson shared that the program is part of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision to develop the province as a leading IT hub. The initiative is linked to the larger IT City project, which is expected to open new opportunities in technology and innovation.
Under this program, IT graduates will have the chance to work closely with established IT companies and gain guidance from industry experts. Participants will receive hands-on training in the latest skills and technologies, helping them strengthen their professional abilities and prepare for the growing tech sector.
The spokesperson added that students can enroll while completing their four-year degrees and are encouraged to submit applications online. The program is designed to provide both education and practical experience, giving graduates a competitive edge in the IT industry.
Officials say the internship will not only boost the careers of young IT professionals but also contribute to the broader goal of making Punjab a hub for technology and innovation.
