The Punjab government has announced the 3 Marla Plots Scheme 2025 under the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar (AZAG) program, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. This is a major housing initiative designed to provide residential land to poor, low-income, and landless families across the province. The aim is to reduce homelessness, improve social welfare, and give families a chance to build a permanent home of their own.
In the first phase, 2,000 free plots will be distributed in 19 districts of Punjab through 23 official housing schemes. The program is not just about handing over land—it is a step towards empowering vulnerable families, improving their living standards, and giving them long-term housing security. To make the process fair and transparent, applications will be managed digitally through a dedicated AZAG E-Portal.
Who Can Apply – Eligibility Criteria
To make sure the plots are given only to deserving people, the government has set strict rules:
- Applicants must be permanent residents of Punjab and have their CNIC verified.
- They can only apply within their own district of residence.
- Neither the applicant nor their spouse or children should own any property anywhere in Pakistan.
- The applicant should have no criminal record, no ongoing legal disputes, and no bank defaults.
- All details provided must be truthful and accurate. If any false information is found, the application will be rejected.
Terms and Conditions
- House construction must start within 6 months and be completed within 2 years according to local building rules.
- The plot cannot be sold, transferred, or rented for the first 5 years.
- The land must be used only for residential purposes.
- If someone fails to build their house or misuses the land, the government has the right to cancel the allotment and take the plot back without compensation.
- The Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) will regularly inspect the plots, and any disputes will be handled by a Grievance Redressal Committee.
How to Apply
Interested applicants need to:
- Register on the official AZAG E-Portal.
- Fill out the online application form.
- Upload all required documents, including CNIC, proof of income, and a property ownership declaration.
- Applications will then be verified, and shortlisted candidates will be finalized.
