The relatives of those slain in the Murree tragedy will receive a total of Rs 1.76 crore, or Rs 8.8 lakh apiece.
What caused the Murree tragedy? It was also resolved to appoint an inquiry committee to look into the incident, which would be led by the Additional Chief Secretary. Within seven days, the committee will determine the culprits of possible carelessness.
Murree was given district rank and the administrative framework of the tourist destination was upgraded immediately at a meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar.
