Punjab Govt Offering Electric Bikes to 15,000 Teachers

The Punjab government has introduced a new plan to help teachers cope with the high prices of fuel. They will provide electric bikes to 15,000 teachers in the province.

The Education Minister, Sikandar Hayat, tried out one of these bikes himself. The project will happen in three parts. First, 5,000 teachers will get electric bikes. Then, another 10,000 will receive them in the next phases.

This move aims to ease the financial stress on teachers caused by the rising cost of petrol. It’s been hard for them to afford to travel to school every day.

Switching to electric bikes is expected to save teachers a lot of money on transportation. Minister Hayat is confident about this plan. He says it’s good because it saves money and helps the environment at the same time.
