Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Punjab Health Minister, has announced the establishment of a new dentistry college and hospital in Rawalpindi. The health minister stated that, in accordance with Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar’s directives, a new dental college and a new dental facility for Rawalpindi Division will be operational very soon, and that academic activities at the dental college would begin this year.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid stated that the new dental college and hospital would improve dental care services while also assisting in resolving the issue of a shortage of dental surgeons.
She went on to say that a whopping Rs323 million was being spent on the establishment of Rawalpindi’s dental college and hospital. The college and hospital must be affiliated with Rawalpindi Medical University.(RMC)
The college and hospital would give improved dental care facilities to the people under the jurisdiction of the Department of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education, she noted.
