Punjab Govt to Reward Rs. 100,000 If You Convert Your Petrol Bike to Electric

Punjab’s Senior Minister, Mariyum Aurangzeb, has introduced a new reward program to support the province’s efforts toward a cleaner and greener environment. As part of the Green Credit Program, the government will give a cash prize of Rs100,000 to motorcyclists who convert their petrol-powered bikes into electric ones. This step is aimed at reducing pollution and encouraging the use of eco-friendly transportation.

In addition to this, citizens can earn green credits by doing other environment-friendly actions such as planting trees or switching to energy-saving LED lights in their homes and workplaces. These efforts are part of a wider plan by the Punjab government to tackle climate change and improve air quality.

The Green Credit Program also ties into several other green projects being carried out in the province. These include the development of urban forests, installation of modern fire-control technology, setting up systems for regular air quality checks, and distributing free saplings to the public to encourage tree plantation.
