Qatar Airways has announced an exciting new partnership with SpaceX’s Starlink, becoming the first major airline in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to offer free, ultra-high-speed, low-latency Wi-Fi on their flights.
Starting in the last quarter of this year, three of Qatar Airways’ Boeing 777-300 planes will have this advanced Wi-Fi service installed. Passengers on these flights will be able to enjoy internet speeds of up to 500 Mbps, making it easy to stream videos, play online games, and more without any hassle.
Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, the CEO, highlighted that this collaboration with SpaceX’s Starlink shows Qatar Airways’ strong commitment to improving the travel experience for their passengers. He believes that providing fast and reliable Wi-Fi will make flying with Qatar Airways even more enjoyable and convenient.
The airline plans to extend this high-speed Wi-Fi service to its entire fleet over the next two years, ensuring that all passengers can benefit from this cutting-edge technology.
