Quaid-e-Azam University, public research university located in Islamabad is the only Pakistani university that ranked among top 500 universities in the world in Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023.
Latest annual ranking released recently, includes approximately 1800 universities from all over 104 nations in which only one Pakistani academic institution makes it.
According to the data, some how 29 academic institutions from South Asian nation were ranked in Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for 2023.
Other than Quaid-e-Azam University, GCU (Government College University) Faisalabad and the University of Management and Technology, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, and Bahria University ranked in the top 5.
However, the rest ones were positioned as ‘reporter’ as they submitted the required data for evaluation however failed to meet the eligibility criteria.
